An unusually complete quinarius from the Aedui

CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Circa 80-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 13 mm, 1.87 g, 5 h), 'à la tête casquée - au torque' type. Helmeted head of Roma to left. Rev. Celticized horse galloping left; around, three annulets. DT 3189. LT 5252. SLM 556 var. (with additional torque on the reverse). Nicely toned and unusually complete. Struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, good very fine.
